Are you coming to our open meeting? We hope so! If you are, you can go to the weekly meeting of SPOC (Self Publishers of Chicago), which is taking place right after ours. SPOC will be meeting up at Township (2200 N California by the California Blue Line Stop) at 4:30 pm and they’d love to see you there.

A small price to pay for punk rock glory

Hey folks! One of CZF’s favorite fundraisers is coming up THIS THURSDAY, November 15th at 8pm. As usual, we will be rocking out at Beauty Bar (1444 W. Chicago Ave. – 21+) and there will be a $5 cover. The Reader is excited about it, too!

Leave your work clothes on the floor and morph into the anarchist, Mohawked, drug-afflicted punk rock god you’ve always wanted to be. Punk Rock Karaoke benefits the 2013 Chicago Zine Fest. The playlist features songs from the likes of the Ramones, the Dead Kennedys, the Pixies, Bikini Kill, and the Clash, all performed by you, of course.

Jami Sailor and Johnny Misfit will be your hosts, which will certainly be a great time. Jaclyn Miller is to thank for the rad artwork.

Artwork Unveiled!

The amazing new artwork for CZF 2013 was done by Laura Berger & we couldn’t be more happy with it. Laura’s art will grace our t-shirts & buttons, along with a new item for 2013—tote bags!
