Poster for April 16 2016 event Zine Not Dead

Saturday April 16 join us for CHICAGO ZINE FEST NOT DEAD, a CZF2016 fundraiser presented by our friends Bred Press and Perfectly Acceptable Press at the International School of Comics (1651 W Hubbard St).

You’ll be entertained by an illustrious group of Chicago comics artists:
Keiler Roberts
Kevin Budnik
Jessica Cadwell & Griffin Miller
Paul Reilly
Chloe Graham
and our very own CZF organizer Alex Nall

The evening will be hosted by the ignominious Brad Rohloff and Matt Davis. The show starts at 7 pm—it’s just $5 to help support this year’s zine fest, which gets you admission, a free poster, and the chance to win a prize!

Find more info and spread the word at the Facebook event. We’ll see you there!

Help out at CZF Volunteer Day

CZF Volunteer Day is coming right up! As the Chicago Zine Fest approaches, we need your help. Have a spare hour or two? Drop in at CHIPRC (858 N Ashland Ave) on Sunday April 17th any time between noon-3pm to have a great time and help us make CZF a success!

We need volunteers to help us make buttons, prepare clip art & blank booklets for our activity table, and collate zines (all easy stuff, we promise!). Or stop by and pick up some promotional flyers and posters that need to be distributed around the city. Invite a friend via our Facebook event and make it even more fun!

ALSO! We’re looking for a few new faces to organize the next Chicago Zine Fest, so here’s your chance to learn how to become more involved with CZF 2017! Ever thought about organizing the zine fest? Not sure what organizing is all about? Come hang with us & find out!

Want to volunteer over zine fest weekend? Get in touch—we’d be glad for your help!

Preorder your CZF tote bag!

CZF 2016 tote bag

Our fabulous design for the 2016 Chicago Zine Fest was created by Erik Rodriguez and we’ve put it on a black tote bag for you stylish folk.

Manufactured by our friends at REP CHI, these 100% cotton totes are super sturdy, using 10 oz. cotton construction, durable gusseted sides, and 22-inch long handles. It measures 10″ wide x 14″ high x 5″ deep. In a super unscientific test, we crammed about 65 zines in there–enough to get you through the longest of road trips!

These are currently only available for pickup at the 2016 zine fest on April 30th. Pre-purchase yours now at our online shop.

Every purchase will support the Chicago Zine Fest this year and into the future–thank you!
